Vive La France!

After over a decade long hiatus, the World Cup circuit returned to the popular French mountain bike town of Les Gets. With wide open corners and big jumps, the course kept much of its old school feel and provided another great race.

1st in Qualifying, 1st in Finals, 1st in the Championship points standings. Les Gets was good to Tracey Hannah.

With everyone going so fast it seems the top 10 is anyone’s guess. This week Scott Factory Racing’s Dean Lucas stepped up and put in a great performance to grab his first top 10 of the year.

An improvement on last week, Greg Minnaar put down a solid run on the old school style Les Gets track, landing himself into 7th place when racing came to a close. The podium is within reach, and we’re sure we’ll see the Goat back up there soon. The French crowd was as loud as could be come Saturday afternoon. Vergier takes a bow after grabbing another top 5 result.

Right in the hunt for a win, Troy Brosnan finished 4th in Les Gets. Deep in the thick of the championship hunt, can the Canyon Factory Racing rider challenge his French competitors for race wins with three races to go?

The smile of success. After a rough few races, MS Mondraker’s Laurie Greenland returned to form, grabbing an impressive 3rd place finish.

Loic Bruni has always had the speed, his three rainbow jerseys are a testament to that, but the consistency has in the past been a point of frustration. In 2019 race fans are seeing Bruni in the mix every week, in every condition possible. 2nd in Les Gets and still leading the overall championship; can’t we have races every week?!
